Our Daily Challenge – “Begins with R”:

It’s been hot the last few days, but I’m glad summer is finally here. That doesn’t mean I won’t complain about it on day 30 of over 100 degree weather, but for now i’m going to revel in it. I decided to snap a new cover photo for Facebook (hence the unconventional format) to express that, then it dawned on me that my rest and relaxation would also fit for this theme.

this is the view from my front yard. looking west through my neighbor’s trees. and this time of year the sun comes in a just the right spot and i swear it is magical.

tonight when i went out front and saw this light, i was full of gratitude. grateful for the light, grateful for the miracles that i have been witnessing. grateful for the healing that is happening in the lives of my loved ones.

in the words of anne lamott, “i do not understand the mystery of grace — only that it meets us where we are and does not leave us where it found us.”
